Tiff McColl is an independent haircutter based in the San Francisco Bay Area, working behind the chair at Marmalade Salon Wednesday through Saturday. They specialize in creating expressive shapes that are worn best in their natural state, with the belief that a good haircut can change your life.
Tiff began their career apprenticing at Edo Salon in San Francisco under Jayne Matthews and a team of renowned stylists, where they built a foundation in intuitive straight razor cutting. Since then, they’ve sought education from around the world, expanding their approach across tools and techniques to better serve all hair textures.
Their work is shaped by years spent as a performer and creative presence in San Francisco’s queer underground club scene. That influence still shows up in their approach: experimental, instinctive, and always evolving.
